Beauty Bites - The Priori Peel

We recently shared a review of our Priori Skincare range and highlighted how great the products are. Here is a Beauty Bites video from Holly talking about The Priori Peel. It's a Chemical Peel that will leave your skin glowing.

Glycolic acid is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), which helps to exfoliate dead skin cells and rehydrate the skin by increasing its capacity to hold water. Collagen is also stimulated to firm and tone the skin.

Chemical peels containing glycolic acid or lactic acid improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers and may help reduce acne scarring. The procedure can take up to 30 minutes or longer, depending on the type of peel that you are having.

Take a look at the video and get in touch if you have any questions.

If you are looking to improve the appearance of your skin then the Priori Peel is worth considering as the results are amazing. If you have any questions or queries then we would love to hear form you. Call us on to book a consultation on 01224 643 999.

Beauty Bites - How achieve better looking skin

Holly Foubister, aesthetic therapist at Kirkwood Fyfe shares another Beauty Bites video. Here is how to achieve better looking skin.

You have naturally 80-90% excess skin all over your body, which is effectively dead. If you do not exfoliate the dead skin cells, you will clog your pores. However, this problem is easily solved by simply exfoliating twice a week.

There are two ways in which you can exfoliate; manually or chemically. The Manual method can be done using a body brush, or your hands. Alternatively the chemical approach would involve using our range of specialised products that help achieve great results.

Top tip: make sure you don't rub until you are raw, not the look we would imagine you would be going for.

Beauty Bites - How to help prevent fine lines and wrinkles

Holly Foubister, aesthetic therapist at Kirkwood Fyfe giving you a Beauty Bite on how to help prevent fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes.

It doesn't matter what age you are, there are always the pressures to maintain younger looking skin. Many of our patients are conscious of getting wrinkles around their eyes or on the general facial area. In this Beauty Bite, Holly shares tips on how to prevent this. People often make the mistake of using facial moisturisers around the eye area, however the molecules are actually too large to be absorbed around this delicate area.

Using the correct eye gel, or cream for the bone area around your eyes, you can help prevent fine lines or wrinkles.

If you have any questions regarding any of the tips or products mentioned above, please "Like" our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter, simply post a message to us, and a member of our team will get back to you.

Beauty Bites - How to reduce fat toxins

Holly Foubister, aesthetic therapist at Kirkwood Fyfe shares another one of our Beauty Bites videos. This time she gives advice on how to increase your natural circulation and reduce any fat toxins.

This treatment is popular amongst those who would like to be a little more modest about any cosmetic treatments/surgery that they've had work done. To achieve the best results we use various machines for this treatment, which helps increase your natural circulation, pushing any fat toxins out of your body.  In addition to this treatment we recommend that you should adopt traditional methods such as healthy eating and exercise which will help tone your body and achieve the optimum results.

Kirkwood Fyfe's TOP BEAUTY TIPS...

At Kirkwood Fyfe we believe that great looks begins with beautiful skin and the secret to amazing looking skin is a solid skincare regime. We believe that everyone can achieve healthy, beautiful skin with the right products and the right knowledge. So we wanted to share some of our beauty secrets with you to help your skin look fresh and healthy.

  • Drink lots of water on a daily basis as the first 80% of what you drink directly helps to maintain healthy organs so drinking more will bring a noticeable result to the skin.
  • Exfoliate 2-3 times per week as you have 80-90% excess dead skin, which can cause cloged pores.
  • If you have tanned over the summer mix bronzer with your normal foundation to make the colour slightly darker rather than buying a new foundation.
  • Wash make-up brushes with soap and warm water and leave to dry naturally at least once per month as bacteria can build up and cause spots.
  • Always wear at least SPF 15 in all weather conditions as it gives some environmental protection.
  • Choose a moisturiser that contains water grabbing properties that plump up the skin, Kirkwood Fyfe recommends using something from our Priori skincare range.
Not only do we have a team of beauty experts based in house at Kirkwood Fyfe we also offer various  cosmetic surgery treatments that are becoming increasingly popular. Each procedure is carried out by one of  our team of top cosmetic surgeons. Please visit our website for more information or contact us directly on 01224 643 999 or you can email us on info@kirkwoodfyfe.com
