Beauty Bites - How to reduce fat toxins

Holly Foubister, aesthetic therapist at Kirkwood Fyfe shares another one of our Beauty Bites videos. This time she gives advice on how to increase your natural circulation and reduce any fat toxins.

This treatment is popular amongst those who would like to be a little more modest about any cosmetic treatments/surgery that they've had work done. To achieve the best results we use various machines for this treatment, which helps increase your natural circulation, pushing any fat toxins out of your body.  In addition to this treatment we recommend that you should adopt traditional methods such as healthy eating and exercise which will help tone your body and achieve the optimum results.

What happens during laser eye surgery...

Laser Eye Surgery has become an ever increasingly popular procedure and through advances in technology, we are proud to offer our patients Z-Lasik, which operates without the use of a blade.

We have seen an increase in our patients becoming fed up with the hassle of not being able to see correctly without the aid of glasses or contact lenses and over the past decade Laser Eye surgery has become an effective and pain free solution to correct people's vision.

In the video below we get an insight into what is involved in a Pre-Operative Consultation. Here Karen also has questions answered by our Optometrist Bobby Fyfe.

At Kirkwood Fyfe we use Z-Lasik which is the most advanced innovation in bladeless surgery. This procedure uses a high-frequency laser and there is no blade involved to create a precise, pain free surgery. Keep an eye out for our next blog post, which will include a video of Karen's surgery to show you what is involved in the full process.

We would love to hear from you if you would like to know more about Laser Eye surgery or about any other procedures that Kirkwood Fyfe provide. Contact us on 01224 643 999 or email us on info@kirkwoodfyfe.com

We have found that there is an ever increasing amount of people looking to achieve younger looking skin. At Kirkwood Fyfe we offer a range of cosmetic treatments that are proven to give better results than any topical creams and lotions that can be found on the high street. All of our surgical procedures are performed by registered surgeons. At Kirkwood Fyfe we are dedicated to providing the highest standards of care we can for all our patients.

Here we highlight a combined treatment of Pixel Treatment and Radio Frequency. This unique procedure is exclusive to Kirkwood Fyfe and aims to reduce fine lines which tightens the skin to give a fresher, more youthful appearance. The combination of treatments is also used to treat smokers lines and deep wrinkles and aids fat reduction. There has been no other product on the market until now that really helps to treat deep set wrinkles other than fillers. The treatment is non evasive and we are seeing really positive results with our patients.

Take a look at the demonstration video below to see the treatment being performed by Anusha, one of our Plastic Surgeons. For more information on the manufacturer of the product used, visit their website: www.abclasers.co.uk

What do you think?
What are your thoughts on the procedure shown in the video? Would you consider getting the treatment to help you achieve younger, fresher skin? Do you have a tattoo that you regret?

Tattooing has grown very popular over the last 10 years. Although this is an ever increasing trend not everyone who has a tattoo remains happy with it forever and there are many people who would like to have theirs removed. At Kirkwood Fyfe we offer our patients the chance to have their tattoos removed in the best possible way. Laser surgery is considered one of the best methods for removing the otherwise permanent designs.

At Kirkwood Fyfe we provide the Q-Switched Nd:YAG form of laser surgery, which is the most frequently used laser today for the removal of unwanted tattoos. Pulses of light from the laser are directed onto the tattoo, breaking up the tattoo pigment. Once this has been done the body's macrophages remove the treated pigment areas. More than one treatment, and in some cases up to 12 treatments are necessary to remove all of the tattoo.

Tattoos are created by injecting coloured pigment into small deep holes made in the skin. However, the 1064-nm light emitted by the Q-swithced Nd:YAG laser achieves the best results to remove the markings on dark inks namely black (which accounts for more than half of all tattoos), blue and green.

Do you have tattoo that you regret? Are you getting married and worried about showing off a tattoo on your big day? If you have any questions or queries please visit our Facebook page or you can email us on info@kirkwoodfyfe.com. We will be more than happy to answer any of your questions and give you advice on tattoo removal.
